Governor Bill Haslam has proclaimed October 1-7, 2018 Child Health Week in Tennessee. Child Health Week is a time to celebrate and raise awareness around what Tennessee is doing to promote the health of our most important resource—Tennessee’s children.

In honor of Child Health Week, the Carter County Health Department is partnering with the Elizabethton–Carter County Public Library to hold a Hygiene Haul for Carter County and Elizabethton City Schools from October 1 through Oct. 20.

Items will be delivered to the Coordinated School Health Directors of the county and city schools following the end of the Hygiene Haul. Please drop all hygiene products at the Elizabethton-Carter County Public Library at 201 N Sycamore St, Elizabethton, TN 37643.

Items needed include deodorant, shampoo, body wash, toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and sanitary pads. Travel size is preferred.
